This is the website of Mudgee-based artist and curator, Kay Norton-Knight. Kay has been involved in art and design for over 35 years, be it managing galleries, organising charity art exhibitions and exhibiting regionally. Kay has studied ceramics and fine arts, and completed an Advanced Diploma at the Sydney Gallery School, Meadowbank TAFE as well as gaining a curating certificate.

Kay takes her inspiration from nature, with a penchant for collecting and reusing items from her surrounds in her art. Her style focuses on the use of lines - either in her printmaking or sculpture work, drawings and paintings.

In addition to her creative endeavours, Kay has been running art workshops on-site at her vineyard property for several years. She is also prides herself on the establishment of an annual sculpture exhibition - Sculptures in the Garden - which is now a flagship event in the Mudgee Region.Raised in North Western NSW, Kay has spent most of her life in the bush, with her love of the earth and nature resonating in her art today.

SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW WINNER

In 2014 Kay was presented with first prize in the printmaking section of the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Her piece was A Sunburnt Country, a woodcut printed with viscosity roll, using inks of different consistencies on the same printing plate to achieve varied effects in the finished print.
